OVP Kickback - Hickey Park ☀️
The September OVP Kickback was held in Hickey Park. Community events like these are crucial to our outreach efforts and getting to speak with citizens who can benefit from our work is always a pleasure. Of course, we are always happy to have the opportunity to spread the word about our free services around conflict coaching, mediation, conflict resolution and promoting de-escalation in hopes of preventing violence.
These are FREE neighborhood events, providing residents a place to gather for food, music and entertainment. Each future event will be hosted in new locations on the third Saturday of every month.

STLMHC End of Summer Happy Hour
On August 29, St. Louis Metro Housing Collective (STLMHC) joined together with local service organizations and landlords with an End of Summer Happy Hour for Landlords. This was a chance for landlords from around the metro area to come together to meet and mingle and have the chance to learn about services available to them and the community. While CRCSTL doesn’t provide rental assistance, we do offer mediation and conflict coaching services which can help renters and landlords find common ground. We also refer to partner organizations which are able to provide assistance to help people get back on track with their housing and utilities.
OVP Kickback - Northside Economic Empowerment Center @ The Annex ☀️
The August OVP Kickback was a great event as usual! This month the event was held at the Northside Economic Empowerment Center @ The Annex. Tabling and getting to speak with members of the community at monthly events is always a pleasure. And of course, we are always happy to have the opportunity to spread the word about our free services around conflict coaching, mediation, conflict resolution and promoting de-escalation in hopes of preventing violence.

LSEM Youth Provider Resource Fair
On August 14, we were on hand to table at the Legal Services of Eastern Missouri (LSEM) Youth Provider Resource Fair. This Resource Fair was focused on support services available to teens and youth in the St. Louis Metro area. It was an excellent opportunity for us to get the word out about our Student-Led Peer Mediation (SLPM) programming. The SLPM program partners with local schools and libraries to bring free mediation training to students allowing them to become peer mediators for their fellow students.
Family Fest 🎒
We were on hand to table the Family Fest presented by Annie Malone Children & Family Services, Better Family Life, and YMCA on August 10. The Family Fest is centered around back to school supplies and hair cuts for kids as well as resources for local families including utility assistance, senior wellness, and other community vendors with services to offer. These community events are a cornerstone of our outreach efforts and we so appreciate the opportunity to be on hand to discuss the wide variety of services we have available for the community.
