Join us on Thursday, Nov. 7, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at St. Louis Central Library Auditorium, 1301 Olive Street, for a panel discussion on frequent legal issues involving landlords and tenants in St. Louis, featuring Susan M. Alverson, Michael J. Colona, a St. Louis associate circuit judge, and Katharyn B. Davis, managing member of the Davis & Travaglini law firm.

4th Annual Domestic Violence Awareness Rally & Walk
Saturday, October 19th is the 4th Annual Domestic Violence Awareness Rally & Walk, brought to you by the Diamond Diva Empowerment Foundation. Registration is at 9am and the walk begins at 10am. It will take place in the grove (1027 S. Vandeventer).
Conflict Resolution Day Happy Hour w/CRCSTL!

What is Conflict Resolution Day you might ask? 🤷🏻 It's an annual global event that takes place on the third Thursday of October to promote peaceful conflict resolution. We want to use this event to encourage the use of peaceful conflict resolution in schools, families, businesses, communities, governments, and the legal system.

Wednesday, October 16th is the SLAA's Fall Expo at the St. Charles Convention Center!
Registration and continental breakfast begin at 9am. The seminar starts at 9:30am and the Fall Expo begins at noon. They will have 90+ exhibitors, complimentary appetizers & soft drinks, and hourly cash prizes! After party w/free appetizers at Bar Louie to follow.

“Making an Impact Through Dispute Resolution” Office Hours Event (Zoom)

OVP Kickback
The City of St. Louis Office of Violence Prevention (OVP) hosts OVP Kickbacks each month in priority neighborhoods around the City of St. Louis.
At OVP Kickback events, STL city residents can enjoy FREE food, music, entertainment, arts and crafts, access community resources from vendors, and obtain gun safety resources & information about secure gun storage.
OVP partners with the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) and Be SMART, and Everytown for Gun Safety Support Fund program.
Rule 17 Training
Are you interested in becoming a community mediator? Want to learn conflict resolution techniques for your workplace?
Join us for a two-day, Basic Core Mediation (Rule 17) Training led by Simone Haberstock. New and experienced participants will have the opportunity to learn about the process of mediation step-by-step through interactive coursework, active input from participants, and mediation roleplays keyed toward topics in community mediation and the Conflict Resolution Center - St. Louis.
The Basic Core Mediation (Rule 17) Training covers the fundamentals of mediation and its relationship to the legal field/court system. Participants in the training are eligible for 19.2 hours of MCLE credits, including some Ethics credit (to be approved). On completion of this 16-hour course, participants will have met the qualifications for mediators pursuant to Missouri Supreme Court Rule 17. For more information on Rule 17, please click here.

Presentation: Creating Healthy Boundaries with Emily Stoinski (Part 2)
Emily Stoinski (she/her/hers) is passionate about empowering the community to respond to domestic, relationship, and sexual violence and addressing the experience and needs of marginalized populations. Having spent seven plus years working directly with survivors of domestic and sexual violence and/or providing community education, Emily believes every person has the ability to prevent and/or reduce the impact of violence in their relationships, families, and larger community. Emily Stoinski also serves as the chair for the Domestic Violence Fatality Review Panel for the City of St. Louis.
