🎉 Winner! SLPM’s Partner School, KIPP Inspire Academy, Won International Mediation Tournament! 🏆
Our Student-led Peer Mediation (SLPM) partner school, KIPP Inspire Academy, won 1st place in the middle school division of the online mediation tournament!! The first annual online international peer mediation tournament was held this past March until May.
It's supported by Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services Inc. (JAMS), the National Association of Peer Program Professionals (NAPPP), and a division of NAPPP, the Online Peer Mediation Platform (OPMP). The goal was to allow peer mediators to practice their peer mediation skills in a friendly competition with other students worldwide. Another goal was to encourage peer mediators to continue to grow their resolution skills which they showcased during the competition.
We love to see our youth peer mediators applying the things they are learning through our programming. We are very excited for and proud of them for this victory. 🥇
