CRCSTL attended the Wells-Goodfellow Neighborhood Association meeting on June 13, 2023. We always appreciate the partnerships with have with local community groups and the chance to meet face-to-face with members of the community. Members of the CRCSTL team were on hand to answer questions about our free services available to community members.
SLACO 2nd Annual Home Improvement Summit
On June 3, 2023 CRCSTL attended the 2nd Annual Home Improvement Summit hosted by St. Louis Association of Community Organizations (SLACO). Held at the O’Fallon Park YMCA Rec Center, this was an opportunity for residents to come speak to local vendors and organizations to discuss available services. CRCSTL was on hand to discuss our available housing and neighborhood free services.
🌞 Dutchtown Summer Vibes Street Festival
On June 3, 2023, the Dutchtown Main Streets, in conjunction with other community sponsors, presented the third annual festival in Downtown Dutchtown. The event featured entertainment from local musicians, food and shopping from neighborhood businesses, and booths with community resources. CRCSTL was delighted to be out in the community as one of those resource booths. We love any chance to get out in the community to talk with neighbors about the free services we offer and the benefits of conflict resolution. CRCSTL - Where Conflicts Find Solutions.
Kicking It For a Cause 🎶🎤 CWE
CRCSTL was glad to join in for this local neighborhood event. Da Hood Talks Podcast hosts this event, Kickin' It For A Cause, as a judgement-free zone for the STL community to come together to discuss and plan how to take collective action to improve the black community. These free community events are also a place to have fun and build connections with music, games, free food, and prizes.
OVP Kickback ☀️ Baden's Hickey Park
The St. Louis Office of Violence Prevention (OVP), a division of the St. Louis Department of Public Safety, is working in partnership with the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) and Be SMART, an Everytown for Gun Safety Support Fund program, to continue gun violence prevention efforts in St. Louis and spread the critical message to community members about secure firearm storage. This was a free neighborhood event, providing residents a place to gather for food, music and entertainment. Future events will be hosted in new locations on the third Saturday of every month.
On May 20, the second OVP Kickback was hosted in Hickey Park in Baden and CRCSTL was again excited to attend, interact with the community and spread the word about our services around conflict resolution and promote de-escalation in hopes of preventing violence was escalating.
